The East is weak in the NBA this season, that is something that is certain. something else that is certain: The Pistons and Celtics will be the top two seeds in the East. After that, it look like The Magic,Cavaliers and then 4 mediocre teams. I REALLY like how the Sixers look right now. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games, and took down the defending champion spurs Saturday night. I live in Sixers country but AM CERTAINLY NOT A Sixers fan. Nonetheless, they are looking really good. They had 3 big wins last week. First they beat the Milwaukee Bucks, and then the big guys in the East, the Pistons, and they finished off their nice week Saturday night vs. the Spurs. They should play well the rest of the way. Andre Iguodala and Andre Miller (acquired from Utah when the Sixers traded Allen Iverson) are the leaders of this team, and their bench has been AMAZING as of late.
I like this team taking the #5 seed in the East

Sorry Rockets fans....
Ok Rockets fans. I gave your team no respect. Your team has won 10 GAMES with YAO. In a word, WOW. Still though... I'm not sold on them. I mean, it took them 22 wins in a row just to get first place in the Western Conference! Also, for those of you who don't pay attention to upcoming schedules...Their next game is against the 50 win Celtics, and then they play at the Hornets (#3 in the conference),Warriors (#8 in the conference), and the Suns (#5 in the conference). With that said, I believe that this week will determine who the Rockets TRULY are.It will show us whether they can win against the big boys back to back. I don't believe they can. I think they could possibly beat the Warriors, but I think the Celtics, Suns and Hornets will take them down!
Feel Free to comment and disagree! It wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong about the Rockets...

How the Rockets will remember their season.
Here is how I see the Rockets remembering their season. Now I know they have won a team record 16 games in a row, but they need Yao, especially in the playoffs to get the job done. McGrady needs a supporting cast to win. Right now, they look good, but it will fade and IF they are to win in the West, they need both McGrady and Yao Ming to play. Plus, they are in the toughest conference in the NBA, and even after 16 in a row, are only up to 5th in the conference! The Spurs, Lakers, and Jazz are just to much to contend with in the West. All 3 are playing their best basketball of the season right now. The Spurs have won 10 in a row. The Lakers have won 9 of their last 10, and the Jazz have won 7 of their last 10. These teams are stacked and 2 of these 3 WILL be playing in the Conference Finals. I see the Rockets missing the playoffs or losing in the First Round.
Poor Yao

Don't forget the Spurs!!!
Haven't people figured it out? Hasn't anyone gotten the idea that you should never say NEVER when talking about the San Antonio Spurs? Last season, everyone said they were to old to win it all. And then they did. Then this year everyone said it again, especially as they struggled through injuries to both Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli for extended periods of time. And then we had the Wild Wild West trades. After these trades, many experts ranked the Spurs #4 behind the Lakers, the Suns, and the Mavericks. And yet, here the Spurs sit, in first place in the entire conference, and on an 8 game winning streak! People need to begin to understand this: STOP BETTING AGAINST THE SPURS. They ALWAYS prove you wrong and make you look stupid.
